Problem solving to send our letters

We finished our buddy letters today and talked about how the posting letters works. We discovered we are lucky living out in the country because if we put the flag up on our letter box then the mail man will collect our mail too.

We raced out to post our letters and discovered to our horror that the flag on our letter box was GONE!

Back to the classroom and putting on our blue and green hats to work out what we need to do and design a very quick solution:

- a laminated piece of red paper

- mounted on a handy towel role

- slipped over the swivel and taped to the mail box
