Powerful Verbs

We are learning to make our sentences interesting by using powerful verbs (and describing words). We started with sentences that were so boring we snored and had to make them exciting by working in our table groups. Everyone in our group had to help!

Red Table:

She got up.

Chloe G yawned and stretched, slowly climbing out of bed.

Green Table:

I went to the shops.

Serena the puppy zoomed to the ice-cream shop early on Monday morning to buy a 5-scoop chocolate ice-cream.

Yellow Table:

He was late.

Ben S woke up late for Kuranui School on Monday morning the 28th of March because his leg was broken and it was squished.

Blue Table:

They went out.

Ben 10 and Batman sprinted to the doctors in Hamilton because they were sick and they and to say "arhhhhh".
